ABOUT ME

Maxine Rose

I am a Wyoming-born artist, and I have called Arizona home for over a decade. I am a surreal pop-art inclined printmaker. I design extensively in anatomical botanic themes & I am best known for my linocut art.

My work has been featured all over the valley, including Shemer Art Center and Museum, FOUND:RE Contemporary Gallery, Arts HQ Gallery, WHAM West Valley Art Center & more.

I own Moepoofles Ink LLC to distribute artwork in galleries, shops and online. I love to share my journey, process and helpful tips online to Instagram & YouTube.

My work strives to express the beauty in the unsettling. I see life as a mixture of both growing and decaying, and I push to translate that sentiment in art. I love finding beauty in the unexpected, as I focus on capturing unnervingsubjects and turn them into something visually appealing. This is where human form meets botanical and mechanical transformation in my work.
My art blends anatomical surrealism and botanical symbolism with experimental contemporary printmaking to express tension between thriving and decaying.

My printmaking journey explores a variety of techniques, including linocut, drypoint, eco printing, and cyanotype. I specialize in fine art, but create linocut clothing and cards seasonally.
